2023-2024 Sun Maid Kennel Club Sportsmanship Recipient

This award is presented to  Kathleen Soares for outstanding sportsmanship, contributions and accomplishments over this last year.  

Kathleen has made significant contributions by providing education to the public about the intricacies and joys of dogs shows.  Her dedication to children's literacy programs showcases her tireless advocacy for the empowerment and enlightenment of young minds.

As a testament to her impact, Kathleen spearheaded the public education efforts for the Sun Maid Kennel Club, culminating in the prestigious 2023 AKC Public Education Award.  Her leadership and passion have not only brought recognition to the club but have also enriched the lives of countless individuals.

With many years of experience as a ring steward, Kathleen generously shares her expertise with others, fostering a community of knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport, Her mentorship an guidance has left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of those she has touched.
